We live in a time when values are being tested and often disregarded. Amidst so many voices and so much information, it is essential to return to the basics: the divine commandments and principles that serve as a compass for a conscious, happy, and prosperous life.
But are we teaching this to our children and teenagers in a clear, accessible, and loving way?
Children Need Spiritual Foundations

They are not impositionsâthey are gifts from God to protect and guide us. Just as we teach math, reading, and science, we must also teach the ethics of the soul, that which remains even when no one is watching.
What Are Divine Commandments and Principles?
These teachings appear in both the Bible and the Quran, and they lead to the same truth: a life of purpose, harmony, and blessings.

The life we live today is a reflection of the choices we have made in the pastâwhether conscious or unconscious.
Every action, every decision, and every influence we receive shapes who we become.
Among these influences are the compliments and criticisms we receive on a daily basis.
They can be seeds of growth or invisible barriers that block us, depending on the value we place on them.
Being alive is a gift from God, and every experience, whether positive or negative, is an opportunity to learn and grow. But to do so, we need to be mindful of what we allow to feed our minds. It is in the words we hear, the advice we follow, and the habits we cultivate that the true power to shape our lives lies.
In this article, I invite you to reflect on how praise and criticismâand how we react to themâinfluence our motivation, our habits, and, consequently, our destiny. Let's understand how to transform external influences into inner strength, keeping the focus on what really matters: your growth, your peace, and your purpose in life.
1. The Reflection of Our Choices
The stage of our current life is the direct result of the experiences and choices we have made over time.
Today we reap what we sowed yesterday. Every experience, every piece of advice we have followed, or criticism we have internalized
has contributed to shaping our reality.
God gives us the opportunity to learn from every situation, but it is up to us to decide
whether we transform these experiences into growth or obstacles.
2. The Power of Influence
Everything in life has positive and negative aspects. In any situation, some are more apparent than others. Therefore, it is essential to be aware of what motivates us and what influences our thoughts, as they generate concrete actions.
Choosing the right motivation is essential to being happy. Don't allow yourself to be paralyzed by negative influences â learn from them and use them to grow.
3. Habits: Building the Future
We are creatures of habit. Habits can be good or bad, depending on whether they are aligned with our life goals. The first step is to be clear about what you want. Next, analyze your current habits: do they contribute to achieving your goals, or do they need to be adjusted?
If we don't know where we want to go, any path will do. But with clarity of purpose, every action becomes focused. Habits become stronger when we believe we are doing the right thing. And often, they are based on our beliefsâexperiences and advice that we accept as true. The problem is not the advice itself, but blindly believing in it.
4. Transforming Raw Materials into Results
God offers us raw materials, not finished products. He gives us trees, not paper, canoes, or ready-made desks. It is our consciousness, our ability to think, feel, and act that transforms what we receive into something extraordinary.
Life's challenges and trials exist to make us stronger. Every experience, every difficulty, every criticism is an opportunity for growth. But we only turn these opportunities into results when we apply action, discipline, and focus.
5. Beware of âPoisonsâ
What paralyzes human beings are not challenges, but the âpoisonsâ we internalize: harmful words, destructive criticism, negative beliefs. Therefore, the most important thing is what you allow to feed your mind.
Preparation, discipline, consistency, and patience bring results.
Investing time in developing skills and competencies is essential to achieving your goals.
We have two choices: to waste or make the most of our time, to seek happiness or just to be right,
to choose to be or to have, to want or to do.
6. Value Your Time and Your Purpose
God is fair: He gives us all 24 hours a day so that each of us can build our own story. Value your time, take care of your mind, and choose wisely which compliments and criticisms you let in. They can be seeds of growth or invisible barriers.
The decision is in your hands. Transform every external influence into inner strength and follow the path of growth, peace, and fulfillment.

We have all made mistakes. Sometimes we hurt someone with words or actions, fail to keep a promise, or make impulsive decisions that later cause remorse.
Saying Sorry Is Not Enough
Saying âsorryâ is important, but without deep reflection and concrete actions to change, repentance remains superficial.
True Repentance Involves 3 Steps
1. Feel genuine remorse;
2. Immediately stop the wrong action;
3. Make a firm commitment not to repeat the mistake.
Whenever possible, repair the damage caused.
Practical Example
Spilling coffee on the floor: saying sorry acknowledges the mistake, but cleaning up and preventing it from happening again is what truly transforms.
In Daily Life for Youth
Arguments on social media, school mistakes, or errors with friends do not change by simply saying âmy bad.â Reflection, feeling, and action are necessary to repair.
In Adult Life
Work conflicts, delays, impatience, or financial mistakes are not resolved with empty words. True transformation comes from reflection, sincere remorse, and concrete actions.
True Repentance
It corrects the past, strengthens the present, and builds the future. It teaches responsibility, strengthens relationships, and develops character.
Final Message
The power of repentance is not just in acknowledging mistakes, but in turning them into opportunities for learning and growth.
